Gazing at the shimmering lights of Cầu Ánh Sao, have you ever imagined walking among the stars? Cầu Ánh Sao, meaning “Starlight Bridge,” isn’t just a bridge. It’s a celestial experience right here in Ho Chi Minh City. Completed in 2010, Cầu Ánh Sao stands as Vietnam’s first modern pedestrian bridge. It gracefully arches across the Thay Tieu Channel, linking the Crescent Lake area and the Kenh Dao area in Phu My Hung. This isn’t just a pathway. It’s a gathering place, a vantage point for stunning views, and a romantic escape. Designed by a Chinese company, Gao Ge, and meticulously detailed by Dao Fund Construction Design Consultant Company, Cầu Ánh Sao spans 170 meters in length and 8.3 meters in width. Its crescent moon shape is accentuated by hundreds of LED lights embedded in the bridge’s surface. These lights, twinkling like stars against the night sky, give Cầu Ánh Sao its evocative name. At each end of the bridge, two squares symbolize the sun and moon. The crescent shape represents the moon, while the round shape symbolizes the sun. This cosmic dance of light and symbolism transforms a simple walk into a journey through the heavens. The magic is further amplified by the modern fountains on either side of the bridge. Illuminated with color-changing lights and powered by a solar power system, the fountains create a mesmerizing spectacle. From Cầu Ánh Sao, the views of Crescent Lake, the surrounding apartment buildings, and the Crescent Shopping Mall are simply breathtaking. The scenery transforms as the sun sets and the lights come on, draping the area in a new, enchanting glow. Cầu Ánh Sao is more than a bridge. It’s a beloved spot for couples on romantic dates, families enjoying an evening stroll, and friends sharing laughter and conversation. It’s a place to relax, eat, drink, and simply be. So, come, walk among the stars on Cầu Ánh Sao and experience the magic for yourself.
