Established in 1990 Castlemilk High School stands proudly. It’s a testament to the community’s resilience. The school wasn’t always here. It arose from the merger of two older schools Glenwood and Grange Secondary. These schools closed due to declining student numbers. Glenwood was demolished. Its site is now a business park. Grange however became the home of Castlemilk High. The current building a significant upgrade is a result of a rebuild in 2001. It’s designed for a smaller student body than its predecessors. The school’s motto Nothing but the best will do reflects the high aspirations held for its students. Lynn Gibson the current head teacher continues this legacy. She followed in the footsteps of Brian McAlinden CBE a respected figure who led the school from 2001 to 2010. His dedication to student success is legendary. Remember his mantra Helping pupils to succeed. Castlemilk High School isn’t just a building. It’s a living history a community hub. A place where generations of students have learned and grown. It’s a vital part of Castlemilk. The school embodies the spirit of perseverance and the ambition of a community striving for excellence. Today it continues to shape the future of its students.
