Picture this A young energetic winemaker Marco Minnucci’s dream takes shape in the heart of Piedmont. It is Cascina San Michele a winery nestled atop a hill between Alba and Asti. This isn’t just any vineyard. This is the culmination of a vision.

Cascina San Michele’s story began in 2015. Marco however had laid the groundwork five years earlier. He purchased a small inn. With it came a hectare of vineyards. Today Cascina San Michele cultivates local varieties across 6.5 hectares. These are spread across two areas. The original hectare remains. Marco added 5.5 hectares near Santa Margherita.

The location is breathtaking. Rolling hills meet vibrant vineyards. Poppies and cow parsley paint the landscape. The soil is rich in limestone. It lies on the Briccone a strip of land ideal for Barbera and Brachetto grapes. Marco’s meticulous winemaking enhances the land’s gifts. The resulting wines possess exceptional energy and depth. He avoids interfering with the vines’ natural development. He lets them express themselves. Each vintage reflects its unique year.

Marco crafts artisan wines. These wines truly reflect the region’s diverse terroir. He follows tradition. Hard work in the vineyards and respect for the grapes lead to excellence. Grapes are hand-picked. Wines ferment with wild yeasts. They age peacefully in old barrels. Bottling is gentle. Minimal sulfur is added. No filtering or clarifying takes place.

Cascina San Michele’s wines aren’t just beverages. They are an experience. They capture a feeling. They convey the essence of the region its long history its passion. Each sip is pure drinking pleasure. Each is full of energy playfulness and exquisite enjoyment. They tell a story of dedication to the land. They are a testament to the enduring spirit of Piedmontese winemaking. They are a story found only at Cascina San Michele.
