However, they felt a strong desire to ensure future generations could benefit from this historical gem, and they knew just the organization to help bring their vision to life. They donated the Cascina to the Fondazione Don Orione, a charity that works to improve the lives of children and young people.
The Fondazione Don Orione, recognizing the potential of Cascina Fraschina to become a beacon of agricultural innovation, entrusted it to a group of passionate young entrepreneurs. These three millennials, Tommaso, Claudio and Marcello, embarked on a journey to breathe new life into this historical gem.
Marcello shares with me a charming detail – during World War II, a local midwife delivered babies here, and the farm adopted the name “Fraschina” in her honor. It adds a special touch to the history of the Cascina.
