It’s a career academy, offering specialized pathways for students to explore various professions. Want to be a chef? There’s a culinary arts program led by Chef Stanley Idlebird. Interested in law enforcement? The criminal justice program, taught by retired officers and legal experts, provides hands-on training in everything from crime scene analysis to offender profiling. Welding, engineering, computer tech, even dentistry – Carl Wunsche Sr. High School equips students with practical skills and knowledge for a wide range of in-demand careers. Since the school prioritizes these vocational programs, it chooses not to offer traditional athletics. Students who wish to participate in sports are encouraged to do so at their zoned high schools: Dekaney, Spring, or Westfield.
