A vast library welcomes students seven days a week. A Maison de l’étudiant provides accommodation and a versatile hall. In just over 30 years Campus Saint-Jean d’Angély has blossomed. It became a leading student center in the city. The campus offers a wide range of programs. These include bachelor’s and master’s degrees. They cover economics management and even medicine. The Faculty of Dental Surgery and Dentistry is a key part of the campus. It attracts 5000 to 6000 students annually. Approximately 300 teacher-researchers guide them. Campus Saint-Jean d’Angély’s influence extends beyond its walls. It played a significant role in restructuring the Saint-Roch district. The arrival of the tram new buildings parking areas and a park contributed to this transformation. The campus helped re-balance the South and North sectors of Saint-Roch. Today the area thrives. It will be built on the parking lot between the existing buildings and Saint-Jean d’Angély Park. A new student residence and an underground car park will also be added. The aim is to bring together medical and paramedical training. These include dentistry physiotherapy nursing occupational therapy and speech therapy. Currently these programs are spread out.
