Their daughter Meike and her husband Christian now carry on the tradition. Even the third generation is involved.

Camping Land an der Elbe isn’t just a place to pitch a tent. It offers two park-like areas. One sits directly on the Elbe’s banks providing stunning views. The other is more sheltered ideal for those seeking a quieter retreat. The campsite prides itself on its natural beauty. Each guest can freely choose their spot there are no assigned parcels. The electricity here is entirely powered by Naturstrom a renewable energy company.

Imagine relaxing by the Elbe fishing or cycling through the nearby Luneburg Heath. You can also easily visit Geesthacht just four kilometers away. The campsite boasts high ratings for cleanliness friendliness and value. It’s perfect for couples families and even those travelling with their canine companions. Dogs are welcome though not in rental accommodations.

For your convenience a grocery store is right on the campsite. There’s also a bakery service for those mornings when you want fresh bread. A restaurant and snack bar are nearby. There’s even an on-site grill for those who want a traditional barbecue. The sanitary facilities are modern and even wheelchair accessible.

Camping Land an der Elbe is open from April 1st to September 30th. It offers 50 pitches for tourists and 120 for seasonal campers.
