Time travel with me for a moment. We’re going back to the roots of faith right here at Calvary Temple Evangelical Center. This isn’t just any church. Calvary Temple Evangelical Center is a place where faith and community intertwine.
Calvary Temple Evangelical Center’s mission is threefold. It is to worship God. It is to build believers. It is to share the Gospel. These are not just words. They are the pillars upon which this community thrives.
The core beliefs here at Calvary Temple Evangelical Center are deeply rooted in scripture. They believe the Scriptures are inspired by God. These scriptures declare His design for mankind. They also believe in one true God. He is revealed in three persons. These persons are the Father Son and Holy Spirit. This is known as the Trinity.
At Calvary Temple Evangelical Center, they believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine. They also understand that man fell to sin. This ushered evil and death into the world. It was both physical and spiritual. But every person can have restored fellowship with God. This is through salvation. You can trust Christ. Have faith. Repent. He will be your personal Savior.
Calvary Temple Evangelical Center practices two ordinances. The first is water baptism by immersion. This happens after repenting sins and receiving Christ’s gift. The second is Holy Communion. It is the Lord’s Supper. It is a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death. It is for our salvation.
They believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. It is a special experience. It follows salvation. It empowers believers. It helps them witness and serve effectively. This is just as it did in New Testament times. The initial physical evidence is speaking in tongues. This happened on the Day of Pentecost. It is referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
Sanctification occurs at salvation at Calvary Temple Evangelical Center. It is a progressive lifelong process. Believers separate from evil. They continually draw closer to God. They become more Christlike.
The Church at Calvary Temple Evangelical Center has a mission. It seeks to save all who are lost in sin. The Church is the Body of Christ. It consists of people throughout time. These people accepted God’s offer of redemption. This is regardless of religious denomination. They did it through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.
Calvary Temple Evangelical Center believes in divinely called leadership. It is scripturally ordained ministry that serves the Church. Each person commits to reach others for Christ. They worship with other believers. They edify the body of believers. They meet human needs with love and compassion.
Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today. It is provided for in Christ’s atonement. This was His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins. They believe in the Blessed Hope. Jesus will rapture His Church prior to His return to Earth. All believers who have died will rise. They will meet the Lord in the air. Christians who are alive will be caught up with them. They will be with the Lord forever.
Calvary Temple Evangelical Center looks forward to Christ’s Millennial Reign. Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming. He begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1000 years. This brings salvation to national Israel. It establishes universal peace.
A final judgment will take place for those who rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin. They will be consigned to eternal punishment. This will be in a lake of fire. They look forward to a perfect New Heaven and a New Earth. Christ is preparing it for all people who have accepted Him. They will live and dwell with Him forever. It follows His millennial reign on Earth. So shall we forever be with the Lord. That is their ultimate belief.
As we stand here, remember that Calvary Temple Evangelical Center is more than just a building. It is a beacon of hope. It is a testament to unwavering faith. It is a community united in purpose.
