Founded in 1970 Calvary Cathedral of Praise boasts a rich history. It began humbly with thirty-two attendees at its first service on 1627 Broadway in Brooklyn. Twenty-five were invited guests from affiliated churches. This small gathering represented the seed of a growing community.
Calvary Cathedral of Praise didn’t stay in Brooklyn for long. By 1978 the congregation had swelled to nearly 200 members. This necessitated a move to a larger space at 151 Woodruff Avenue. The church continued to grow. It eventually found a permanent home at 58 Caton Place in 1993. This substantial growth reflects the church’s powerful impact on the community.
