Calderside Academy stands tall a modern giant built on the grounds of the old Blantyre High School. It opened in January 2008. Fiona Hyslop MSP officially opened it in November of the same year.

Calderside Academy is more than brick and mortar. It’s a merger. Two schools became one. Blantyre High School and Earnock High School joined forces. This created one of Scotland’s largest schools.
