Burlövs kommun has no forests, lakes, or streams, but it does have an abundance of high-voltage power grids, highways, and railroads. These highways and railroads connect Burlövs kommun not only to the nearby city of Malmö but also to the rest of Sweden. A big factor in this area’s economy is agriculture. Burlövs kommun is one of the few municipalities in Sweden that still contains only the original municipal entity created from the old parish in 1863.
