Burg Husen in Dortmund-Syburg traces its origins back to the 13th century. The tower house as we see it today dates to the 17th century. It stands proudly, listed as a historical monument in Dortmund. The estate sprawls across 7,000 square meters. It sits nestled among pastures and trees, within a triangle formed by Dortmund, Schwerte, and Hagen. In 1984, the Verband Christlicher Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder (VCP), a German scouting association, adopted Burg Husen. They transformed it into a youth holiday home and campsite, breathing new life into these ancient stones.
