It was converted into a school campus for the private Protestant Bugenhagenschule. The former local office now houses laboratories. It also has specialist rooms. A full story with a shed roof construction tops it. The Hesse House has been renovated. The restorers preserved its historical character. Many original elements were restored. A new exterior elevator tower makes the Hesse House accessible. This ensures accessibility for disabled people. Stairways and ramps in the outdoor facilities divide the school grounds. These areas include recreational spaces. They also feature play areas and access routes.
