However, this delicate ecosystem faces threats from human activities, including inshore trawling, waterbird hunting, and the ever-present danger of habitat fragmentation due to mangrove clearance. But Brunei Bay is also a place of ancient stories. Legends whisper of mythical creatures and epic battles. One such tale speaks of two roosters, locked in a fierce cockfight, who transformed into the islands of Lumut Lunting and Pulau Pilong-Pilongan. These islands, rising from the waters of the bay, stand as silent witnesses to the passage of time and the enduring power of local folklore.
