“What makes this school so special?” I’m often asked about the British Vietnamese International School in Ho Chi Minh City. Well let me tell you. The British Vietnamese International School or BVIS HCMC is a unique place. It stands as the only bilingual school in Vietnam fully accredited by the Council of International Schools.

Established in August 2011 BVIS built upon the success of its sister school the British International School. The British International School had been around since 1997. BVIS is also part of the Nord Anglia Education Group. This is the world’s largest premium school group.

BVIS HCMC embraces Vietnamese language and culture. While fostering a global mindset. The school holds a special license in Vietnam. This allows them to offer an international curriculum in a bilingual setting.

The British Vietnamese International School uses the English National Curriculum. It also incorporates strong modules from the Vietnamese curriculum.
