This move allowed the church to expand its ministry. It also launched a preschool, kindergarten, after-school care program. A summer day camp called Bread of Life Christian Children’s Center was established to educate children. These programs serve both the church and the wider community.

Another chapter of Bread of Life Church began in 1996. The church started planting international outreaches. These reached Filipinos and other nationalities. They began with BOL USA. This expansion included Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego.
The story of Bill Gibbons is an important one. He is a lay minister who started a Sunday service for the homeless. It began at a nondescript street corner. This was in an industrial area of downtown Los Angeles. Gibbons wore sweat pants and a T-shirt. He did not want to appear important. He gave both spiritual and earthly nourishment.
The services included hymns and prayers. Gibbons also gave out cookies and sandwiches. These acts of kindness offered hope to those in need. People like Willie Green attended these services. He battled loneliness and addiction. He found a sense of community. Delores Guidero, a former addict, also found acceptance here.
