Bovine Metropolis Theater is located at 1527 Champa Street. This location wasn’t always part of a bustling theater district. In 2000, the neighborhood had pawnshops and a condemned restaurant. But Eric Farone and Denise Maes saw potential. They opened the Bovine Metropolis Theater and helped transform the area.
The Bovine Metropolis Theater became a cornerstone of Denver’s improv community. Eric Farone returned to his hometown after honing his skills in Chicago. He and Denise Maes created a groundbreaking improv comedy troupe. Their shows were innovative and attracted large crowds.
Farone and Maes also founded The Bovine School of Improv. This school is devoted to training new players. It started in a humble basement. Today, over 800 students have graduated.
