The campground offers large, paved sites perfect for both tents and RVs. Each site comes equipped with tables, fire pits or grills. Restrooms and water spigots are conveniently scattered throughout the grounds. Boulder Beach Campground truly caters to every camper’s needs. The summer months, from June to August, can get scorching, with temperatures often exceeding 100°F (37°C). May and September offer a slight reprieve, with daytime highs around 90°F (32C). For a milder experience, visit between October and April, when temperatures drop significantly. Be prepared for freezing temperatures from December to February. The area only receives about 4 inches of rain annually. Despite the desert climate, Boulder Beach Campground feels remarkably lush. The abundant vegetation, including palm trees, oleanders, and cottonwoods, casts cooling shade over the campsites. Many sites offer breathtaking views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, and the River Mountains. Boulder Beach itself is just a short walk from the campground, offering a refreshing escape. The campground has a capacity of 135 sites, ready to welcome campers year-round. For a group experience, Boulder Beach Campground also offers five group campsites specifically designed for tents. Remember that reservations are required and can be made online through recreation.gov. Cash payments are not accepted. Boulder Beach Campground underwent significant renovations between 2013 and 2017. Over $3 million was invested in upgrading campsites, roads, sanitation facilities, and water refill stations. Shaded structures were also added, enhancing the overall camping experience. This investment demonstrates the commitment to preserving and improving this unique desert oasis.
