These include Goldstrike Pass Road Goldstrike Parallel Road and Black Canyon Overlook Road. A sturdy high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended. 4WD is preferable. The roads are not for the faint of heart. They’re steep and winding. They cling to hillsides with precipitous drop-offs. Be mindful of blind curves. You might even spot some power lines. Don’t let them distract you from the view.
The journey to Black Canyon Overlook is an adventure in itself. You’ll wind your way up through volcanic rock formations. You’ll pass by caves and alcoves. The scenery is extraordinary.
