Amidst the lush greenery of Biesdorf Palace Park, a hidden gem awaits. The Biesdorfer Parkbühne, a charming open-air stage, is nestled within this verdant oasis. The Biesdorfer Parkbühne isn’t easy to find. Its light sails peek through the trees, beckoning visitors to discover its magic. Almost every path in the 14-hectare park leads to the palace and, eventually, to the Biesdorfer Parkbühne. During the summer months, the Biesdorfer Parkbühne transforms into a vibrant hub of activity. Concerts, children’s theatre performances, and open-air cinema screenings fill the air with life. The stage has hosted a diverse range of performers, from old GDR bands like Engerling and Reft to Berlin choirs and emerging artists. The Biesdorfer Parkbühne is perhaps best known for hosting “Rock im Grünen,” Berlin’s largest open-air festival for up-and-coming bands. Every July since 1997, twelve bands from Berlin and Brandenburg showcase their talents to an audience of around 3,000 spectators. The intimate setting of the Biesdorfer Parkbühne creates a special connection between the performers and the audience.
