In 2010 God instructed Bishop Eric Lambert Jr to plant churches. This divine instruction led to the birth of Bethel Deliverance Church Northeast. Pastor Tim Baldwin a youth pastor at Bethel Deliverance International Church was chosen to lead this new church plant. He was tasked with gathering seven believers to begin the work. His wife Lady Shante Baldwin was among them.
Bethel Deliverance Church Northeast started its journey seeking God’s guidance for a location. Pastor Tim initially attempted to secure a meeting space at Woodrow Wilson Jr High School in Northeast Philadelphia. His first attempts failed. Undeterred by this setback Pastor Tim persisted. He arranged an impromptu meeting with the principal. To his surprise she welcomed the idea of a church in her school.
Woodrow Wilson Jr High School became the church’s first official meeting place. Pastor Tim actively participated in the parent-teacher committee bringing positive change to the school community. Bethel Deliverance Church Northeast made a positive impact on students and teachers alike.
As the church grew rapidly the team searched for a larger worship space. After months of searching they found their current location at 7770 Dungan Road. The journey to establish their new home wasn’t easy. There were uncertainties setbacks and intense spiritual challenges.
In May 2015 Bethel Deliverance Church Northeast held its first service in its new building. Even then the space quickly proved too small. Two years later the church acquired the adjacent space a former Irish Pub. They named it the Family Life Center. Bethel Deliverance Church Northeast continued to flourish adding new members services ministries and welcoming countless souls into the kingdom of God. Their story is one of faith perseverance and remarkable growth a testament to the power of God’s work. This church truly embodies community and faith.
