Sixty-five years ago a small group gathered. Fifteen people to be exact. They dreamt of Bethany Evangelical Free Church. A dream that blossomed into a vibrant community. Today we stand before its legacy. This church isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to faith perseverance and global outreach.
Bethany Evangelical Free Church opened its doors in 1958. It started small. Yet within a decade its congregation swelled to over 300. This rapid growth speaks volumes about the power of their collective belief and their commitment to spreading the Gospel.
The church’s size fluctuated through the years. However its dedication to God’s word and missions remained steadfast. Mission trips spanned continents. Over 20 full-time missionaries served globally. Bethany also partnered with organizations like Cadence International and Wycliffe Bible Translators. Their commitment to reaching all nations is truly inspiring.
Seven lead pastors guided Bethany. Each brought unique vision and expertise. They focused on equipping their followers. They empowered them to carry out God’s work both locally and internationally.
Bethany isn’t just about tradition. It’s a living community. It’s a place where people find support and fellowship. It’s a center for spreading compassion and hope. The church strives to bring people to Christ. It empowers them to share His message with those in need.
The church continues to evolve. It looks to the future. Bethany wants to inspire bold acts of faith. They aim to reach the world with God’s message of hope. They aim to live out compassion on a grand scale. Bethany’s story is far from over. It’s a story of growth resilience and unwavering devotion to faith. A story that continues to unfold each Sunday at 10:45 am. A story that you too can be a part of.
