Beraca Baptist Church

Founded in 1978 Beraca Baptist Church started in a living room. Rev Soinier Jean-Pierre his wife Zilma and Pastor Lamartine St Juste held the first service. A small gathering of family and friends marked the beginning. After Reverend Jean-Pierre’s passing in 1985 the church faced a period of transition. Fifteen years passed without a pastor. New leadership arrived in 2000. The church experienced incredible growth. From 80 members it expanded to over 1300 congregants in just eight years. This remarkable growth reflects the church’s impact on the community. Beraca Baptist Church became a vibrant hub. It serves a diverse congregation. People from approximately 20 nationalities worship here every weekend. More than 40 ministries operate under its umbrella. Six services are held across four locations. The church’s community outreach is significant. The Beraca Community Development Corporation was formed. It works to strengthen local schools the police precinct elected officials and government agencies. Their vision is ambitious. They aim to exalt the Lord educate and empower their people. They also seek to evangelize and enrich their community. This expansion extends beyond Brooklyn. Beraca’s ministry now reaches Haiti the Dominican Republic the Bahamas Africa and Estonia. This humble beginning in a living room grew into a worldwide ministry. The church stands as a testament to faith perseverance and community impact. Today Beraca Baptist Church continues its mission. It welcomes all who seek fellowship and worship. Its doors remain open to those seeking spiritual guidance and community connection.
