Journey with me back to 1994. A small group of families in San Antonio felt a shared yearning. They desired a deeper connection with their faith. This yearning led them to establish a city-wide Bible study. This small gathering would eventually blossom into what we know today as Believers Fellowship. Believers Fellowship, right here at 13714 Lookout Road, is more than just a building. It represents the culmination of faith, dedication, and community. Initially, the congregation didn’t have its own dedicated space. They moved to the Marty Leonard Chapel in 1996. Then, in 1997, a pivotal moment arrived. Believers Fellowship called its first pastor, Joseph G. Sahl. Pastor Sahl, a 1977 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, brought his theological expertise and leadership to the growing congregation. The church’s foundation is rooted in the belief that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Believers Fellowship proclaims Jesus Christ as the central figure of history. They strive to provide a place where everyone can find life and peace through Him. They offer services every Sunday at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Believers Fellowship isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a testament to the power of shared belief and the enduring spirit of a community seeking spiritual growth.
