Designed by Stewart and Paterson in the Neo-Gothic style Balshagray Victoria Park Parish Church stands as a testament to faith. It graces the Broomhill area of Glasgow Scotland. This Parish church of the Church of Scotland has a story etched in its very stones.

The year was 1908. Imagine the excitement as the foundation stone was laid on May 30. A cruciform structure slowly rose using Snecked red sandstone ashlar. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for the community.

Balshagray Victoria Park Parish Church officially opened its doors on September 11 1909. It quickly became a spiritual heart for the people of Broomhill. For decades it was a place of solace worship and community.

Time moved on and congregations evolved. In 1991 Balshagray Parish Church united with Victoria Park Parish Church. They formed the Balshagray Victoria Park congregation. The Balshagray Church building was retained. The New Victoria Park Church building met the wrecking ball in 1993. The old church was demolished in the 1960s to accommodate the Clyde Tunnel.

Balshagray Victoria Park Parish Church boasts stunning stained glass windows. They narrate stories of faith remembrance and Scottish industry. One window honors the fallen of World War I in the chancel. Another created by Sadie McLellan around 1950 celebrates Scottish Industries.

One particularly striking window is in the north transept. It features Incorporation windows. Women feature prominently. Saints appear in the upper sections. Trades and learning are depicted in the lower sections. Another window by McLellan graces the north aisle dating back to 1954.
