Imagine the early days. A small team tackling a brand-new challenge. The Berlin Wall still stood. Then came the fall. BAD expanded east. Within two years forty-two new centers sprang up. A remarkable feat of expansion. They added safety technology services too. It wasn’t just medicine.
The company keeps evolving. In 1993 they tackled environmental health. Prevention and diagnosis of environmentally related illnesses became part of their mission. By 2001 they were international. TeamPrevent GmbH is their international arm. It shows their commitment to global safety. They even took over health and safety responsibilities for Deutsche Telekom in 2004. It was a massive outsourcing project a testament to their capabilities.
Today BAD is a giant. They serve over 200000 businesses employing 3500 people. Their 2022 revenue was almost 300 million euros. That’s quite a success story. Eight professional associations and the Unfallkasse NRW own the company. They’re committed to keeping German workplaces safe. That includes medical services. Technical support and health management. BAD isn’t just a company. It is a crucial part of the German economy. It ensures the well-being of millions of workers. Their work is essential. They are unsung heroes of workplace safety.
