Emerging from a humble past, B4环境工程学院 stands as a testament to Guangzhou University’s commitment to environmental stewardship. B4环境工程学院’s story began in the mid-1990s. Several smaller entities focused on environmental education and research laid the groundwork for what would eventually become this prominent school. These included the Office of Environmental Engineering Teaching and Research and the Environmental Education Center. In 2004, these separate entities coalesced to form the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, now known as B4环境工程学院. B4环境工程学院 offers a comprehensive range of programs. These programs include undergraduate studies in Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering. They also have postgraduate programs. Over 1,300 students have graduated from B4环境工程学院. The faculty boasts nearly 100 members, with experienced professors and associate professors guiding the next generation of environmental leaders. B4环境工程学院 houses impressive research facilities. These include the Key Laboratory for Water Quality and Conservation of Pearl River Delta of Ministry of Education. They also have the Guangdong Key Laboratory of Radionuclide Control and Resource Utilization. Cutting-edge equipment, such as high-precision plasma mass spectrometers and ion chromatographs, support advanced research within the 5,000 square meter laboratory space. B4环境工程学院 has gained recognition for its programs. Its Environmental Engineering program was the first in Guangdong Province to achieve international certification. The school actively collaborates with institutions in numerous countries. This fosters a global perspective on environmental challenges. Through research projects and innovation, B4环境工程学院 continues to contribute to environmental science and engineering.
