Could a final resting place be a beginning? At ATTiS e.V. Tierruhestätte in Augsburg, it is. This isn’t just a cemetery. It’s a place where love and loyalty find their final, peaceful expression. ATTiS e.V. Tierruhestätte was born from the desire to offer a more dignified farewell to beloved pets. A departure from the impersonal journey to animal rendering plants. Here, amidst natural plantings, pets rest, their memory honored, not in a place of worship, but a sanctuary of remembrance. The ATTiS e.V. Tierruhestätte has specific opening hours. It’s open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2 PM to 5 PM. On the first Sunday of the month, from April to October, it welcomes visitors from 2 PM to 5 PM. In December and January, Sunday hours shift slightly to 2 PM to 4:30 PM. Tuesdays and Thursdays the Tierruhestätte is closed. If you’re planning a burial at ATTiS e.V. Tierruhestätte, contacting Ms. Gutmeyr at 0170 / 81 82 81 3 is essential. During opening hours, you can also reach the Tierruhestätte directly at 0151 / 290 73 06 3. The cost for an initial burial, including two years of grave maintenance, is currently €142.80, set to change to €154.70 in 2025. Renewing the grave right for another two years is €83.30, rising to €95.20 in 2025. These fees cover the opening and closing of the lawn grave and assistance with the burial itself. ATTiS e.V. Tierruhestätte offers personal touches. You can add a memorial plaque with your pet’s photo. A small flower bowl or vase is also permitted. Remember, no permanent plantings, artificial flowers, or grave lights are allowed. Also, due to the lack of groundwater, bring your own water for any plants. For those wishing to add a photo to the memorial plaque, send the image to info-tierfriedhof@attis-tierschutz.de. Include your name, address, phone number, pet’s name, and grave number if known. Finding ATTiS e.V. Tierruhestätte is straightforward. Coming from the B17, take the Haunstetten-Inningen exit towards Haunstetten. Position yourself in the left-turn lane at A.T.U. (Autoteile Unger). Take a sharp left onto the dirt road and follow the signs along the roadside.
