“Do you ever feel like life is moving too fast?” That is what the Bethel Church of Houston asks. Here at Assembly Pentecostal Bethel Church, you will find a multigenerational community of Christ-followers. This church offers a place to connect with God. You can also connect with others.
Since 1962, Assembly Pentecostal Bethel Church has helped people grow their faith. It helps them make a lasting difference. This happens in the community and the world. The church encourages individual Christians. It wants them to attain more depth in Christian experience. The goal is to develop stronger Christian conviction and character.
In 1962, eight families laid the groundwork for Bethel Church. They had three purposes in mind. The first was to win people to the faith. They wanted them to see Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The second purpose was about encouraging Christians. The third was to provide Houston with a specific type of church. This church would be elder-led and conservative. It would also be evangelistic in outreach.
God has transformed the Assembly Pentecostal Bethel Church. It grew from the original group of eight families. By His grace, they continue to pursue their founding purposes. They do this for His honor and glory.
Philip Blair Jones served as the first pastor. He began in April 1962. His service ended in September 1962. Dr. Edwin A. Blum followed. He served from January 1963 to 1971. Dr. Robert A.
