Initially the Arvada Center was smaller. Demand grew. A major expansion in 1992 nearly doubled its size. This wasn’t the end. Another expansion followed in 2002. This expansion cost a staggering $69 million. Designed by Fentress Bradburn Architects LTD it unfolded in three phases.

Imagine the buzz of activity. The first phase completed a small theater. It expanded the ballroom from 500 to 750 seats. It also added storage space for hospitality services. Rehearsal and storage areas were built for the performing arts. The history museum gained more exhibition and storage space. Even the interior was refreshed. Phase two was equally impressive. A new performing-arts shop was constructed. Dedicated rehearsal space and self-contained dressing rooms with showers enhanced the facilities. New patios and gathering spots offered a welcoming atmosphere. The expansion continued with more room for the art gallery and history museum. Additional restrooms parking spaces and landscaping completed the transformation.
