Opened in 2005, Arbor View High School stands as a testament to growth and ambition. This isn’t just any high school. Arbor View was built on land once belonging to the Gilcrease Orchard. This connection to the orchard inspired the school’s mascot, the Aggies, and their motto, “Once an Aggie, Always an Aggie.” The name “Arbor View” itself reflects the tree-lined views of the former orchard. Imagine a sprawling campus, 40 acres to be exact, making it the largest school in the Clark County School District at the time of its completion. The school’s unique mall-style design, with four two-story “houses” and a central esplanade, aimed to create a small school feel within this large setting. Arbor View boasts an impressive array of programs, from a competitive Model UN team to a thriving speech and debate program. The school’s vibrant student life extends to various organizations, celebrating diversity and cultural exchange. Did you know Arbor View is one of only three high schools in Las Vegas with a synthetic turf football field? The same type used in the NFL, this field is a point of pride for the Aggies. Their football team has consistently ranked among the top in Nevada since 2011. Arbor View’s athletic prowess extends beyond football. The girls’ track and field team won the state championship in their division, and the volleyball teams hold strong state rankings. And let’s not forget the Aggie Marching Band.
