Arana Hills Church of Christ

In 1966, a seed of faith was planted in the heart of Arana Hills. This seed blossomed into the Arana Hills Church of Christ. Now, as you stand before this church, let me transport you back to that pivotal year. Ray and June Wilson, members of the Stafford Church of Christ, felt a calling. They saw the burgeoning community of young families around their Narellan Street home, a “nappy valley” as it was known. They recognized a need for a spiritual home in Arana Hills. The Wilsons, along with the Stafford Church board, embarked on a journey of prayer and planning. Their vision was to create a church that would serve the growing community. This vision echoed a similar effort in Samford in the 1950s. Thus, in May 1966, the Arana Hills Church of Christ was born. It’s remarkable to consider how this church, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2016, sprang from the vision of a single couple. The church continues to serve its community. It offers Sunday gatherings at 9:00 am and online services. They are even raising funds for a new playground, a testament to their ongoing commitment to families and the future.
