The Apostle Continuation Church International’s story began in 1980. Apostle Emmanuel Kwadwo Owusu and eight brethren founded it. Duayaw Nkwanta in Ghana was its birthplace. This was in accordance with divine direction.
The church’s headquarters remains in Duayaw Nkwanta. Regional and district offices are throughout Ghana and Africa. The church has expanded globally. Assemblies exist in Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands. Spain, Canada and the United States also host locations. Regional headquarters thrive in Europe and North America.
The Apostle Continuation Church International pursues key objectives. They study the Word of God. They practice righteous living. They preach the Gospel worldwide. They seek to save and baptize believers. This follows the command of Jesus Christ in Mark 16:15 and 18. The church believes in miracles, signs, and wonders. These are often seen among believers in Jesus Christ.
Teaching the Word of God simply is their goal. Understanding is key in every ministry. They believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Their mission is to change lives globally. Offices have opened in Europe and the United States. The United Kingdom also hosts an office. More offices are planned for the future. The Apostle Continuation Church International sets a standard for ministry excellence. It is making a lasting impact on millions of lives.
In the UK, the church started as a house fellowship in 1996. It registered with the Charity Commission in 1997. The first assembly in Northern England was in Leeds. Pastor Opoku Kwaku Amoah and his wife Evelyn Amoah established it in 2004. They helped create assemblies in Bradford and Manchester.
The Leeds Assembly grew. It was fueled by the Holy Spirit. They aim to fulfill the Great Commission. The church believes in diverse gifts. Everyone can contribute to the church’s growth. Partnership is vital. The church works with Bradford and Manchester Assemblies. They plant or revitalize an assembly every three to four years.
The Apostle Continuation Church International has a hierarchical structure. The Local Presbytery Council governs each local assembly. The Pastor leads the Council. Elders, Deacons, and co-opted members are also part of it.
The history of the Apostle Continuation Church International shows devotion to Jesus Christ. This reflects Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Apostle General Emmanuel Kwadwo Owusu’s ministry founded the church. He was born in 1919. He initially fellowshipped within The Church of Pentecost.
Eight individuals assisted Apostle General Emmanuel Kwadwo Owusu. Apostle Clement Brakatu currently serves as chairman. Apostle Paul Manu and Mrs. Mercy Anokyewa Manu were also among them.
In 1980, the church began in Duayaw Nkwanta. This followed a revelation received by Apostle E. K. Owusu. He departed from the Pentecost church. He established a prayer group to embody the divine message.
Apostle Clement Brakatu experienced a revelation. It foretold a fountain springing from the ground. People would come to collect water from it. This prophecy has been realized at the Duayaw Nkwanta headquarters. People gather for spiritual nurturing and healing.
The Apostle Continuation Church International commits to the Bible. They practice and spread the teachings of Jesus Christ. Over 400 assemblies exist in Ghana. Over 40 branches span Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
