Stability whispers from every corner of Anding. Anding Town, a place seemingly untouched by the relentless march of time, welcomes you. We are standing at the edge of Anding, Beijing.

Anding’s story isn’t etched in grand monuments. It resides in the quiet resilience of its people. It lives in the very name of the town itself. Anding means Stability.

Let’s journey back to the beginning. The original settlers, primarily hailing from Shanxi, bestowed this name. They sought a haven, a place to build a stable life.

Time ebbs and flows. Anding has witnessed dynasties rise and fall. It has seen administrative shifts reshape its identity. During the Song and Yuan dynasties, this area was known as Nanyang Station. Later, under the Ming and Qing dynasties, it became the Lixian Inspection Division of Daxing County.

Imagine the bustling activity. Picture travelers passing through. See officials carrying out their duties.

In 1948, Anding became part of the 1st District of Daxing County. It then transitioned to the 4th District. A few years later, in 1956, Baita Township, Xiaoying Township, and Dudiantun Township merged. All these areas formed the Anding People’s Commune in 1958.

However, Lixian and Weishanzhuang separated in 1961. Anding transformed into a township in 1983. It finally gained town status in 1989. Anding officially became part of Daxing District in 2001.

As of 2020, Anding is home to 30,764 residents. The population density is about 400 people per square kilometer.

Today, Anding is divided into 33 villages. Each village has its own unique character. Baolinzhuang Cun is one village. Hou Anding Cun is another. Qian Anding Cun is another. Shahe Cun. Zhanshang Cun. Gaodian Cun. Hou Yechang Cun. Qian Yechang Cun. Duzhuangtun Cun. Hongshizhuang Cun. Panjia Mafang Cun. Zhengfuzhuang Cun. Lufang Cun. Xing’anying Cun. Shantaizi Cun. Xi Lugezhuang Cun.
