All Saints Catholic Church isn’t just a place of worship, it’s a living chronicle of the Heights’ journey through time. The story begins in 1908, in a neighborhood then known as the “Village of the Heights”. The faithful gathered in a humble Fraternal Hall, their first church still a dream. But dreams, fueled by faith, have a way of becoming reality. In 1909, under the guidance of Father George Walsh, the first All Saints Catholic Church was dedicated. This first structure, while more modest than the current building, served a burgeoning community of 650 families. As the Heights grew, so did All Saints. A school was added, classrooms were built, and the church expanded to accommodate the flourishing congregation. The present Romanesque Revival-style church, completed in 1926, speaks of a community that understood the enduring power of faith. Look closely and you’ll see the history etched in the very stones. The Italian stained glass windows, bathe the interior in a tapestry of light and color. The icon wall, completed in 2013, is a testament to the enduring power and beauty of religious art.
