All Nations Church is a member of the Christian Reformed Church. This denomination affirms the Belgic Confession. It also affirms the Canons of Dort and the Heidelberg Catechism. These are their confessions of faith.
The church believes in the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. They affirm the inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility of Scripture. It contains all that people need for their salvation. The church calls the Bible God’s Word. They believe that God speaks through this book by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible has two major sections. The Old Testament records God’s work through Israelite history until about 400 B.C. The New Testament picks up with God’s work through Jesus. It includes the coming of the Holy Spirit and the spread of the church. The Bible is like a library of sixty-six unique books. Many authors wrote them in different contexts over thousands of years. But it is one book telling the story of God’s loving purpose.
Reformed believers summarize the biblical story in four major chapters. They are creation, fall, redemption, and new creation.
In the beginning, God created a world in perfect harmony. Relations between God, humans, and creation were good. Through pride, humans rebelled against God. This disobedience opened the door for sin. Sin contaminates everything. The results are greed, violence, oppression, pollution, sickness, and death. The most devastating effect is alienation from God.
God did not allow sin to have the last word. Because of His great love, God set out to redeem the world. God called Abraham and Sarah to be partners in blessing the whole world. Finally, He sent Jesus to live a human life and die for humanity’s sins. God raised Him from the dead showing that He had conquered sin and death. Now God’s kingdom is growing. Christians are part of that great work.
One day, Jesus is coming back to extend God’s reign on earth completely. He will do away with sin and its effects. There will be no more sickness, suffering, or death. Evil will be eradicated. God Himself will dwell with humans. All creation will be fully restored.
All Nations Church emphasizes life together as a family of God. They use three key words to describe their ministry purpose: gather, grow, and give. Gathering in smaller groups is essential. It helps build relationships and pursue Christ in community. Groups gather according to life stage and region. These regions include Koreatown, Glendale, and Pasadena.
There is no greater means to experience Gospel Transformation than in community. The approach includes Gospel Centered learning, sharing, and nurture. It’s all about pursuing Christ together. Each community group considers ways to share their faith. They practice mercy towards their communities several times a year. The fullest expression of Gospel Growth is proclamation and demonstration of new life under Christ.
