Standing before the imposing brick facade of Alief Middle School, a feeling of history and community washes over you. This school, a testament to the growing Alief area, opened its doors in 1968. Alief Middle School serves grades 7 and 8. It is part of the Alief Independent School District, one of the largest in Texas, covering 36.6 square miles. This district, once considered a rural community dotted with rice, cotton, and corn farms, has seen a massive transformation, experiencing a population boom that almost quadrupled from 1970 to 1985. Alief Middle School reflects this evolution, educating generations of students eager to learn and grow. The school has seen many changes over the years, but it has always stayed true to its mission: to prepare students for tomorrow and care for them today.
