Amidst the bustling energy of Kumasi, lies a beacon of knowledge and faith, Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School. Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School began its journey not within grand halls, but in the humble rooms of a basic school. In 2001, Sheikh Mohammed Kamil Mohammed envisioned a place where young minds could flourish, embracing both secular and Islamic teachings. Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School opened its doors to a mere eighteen students. Mr. Ibrahim Musah Munah, the first headmaster, guided these pioneers. Imagine those early days, a small group of students and teachers, their hopes as bright as the Ghanaian sun. In 2005, construction of a new block started, a symbol of the growing ambition of Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School. The Islamic Development Bank financed this project, a testament to the school’s commitment to quality education. The first phase was completed in 2009. Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School finally had a proper home. This new space allowed the school to grow, to nurture more students eager to learn. In the 2011/2012 academic year, Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School transitioned from a private institution to a public school under the Ghana Education Service. This marked a significant turning point. It opened the doors of opportunity to even more students, making quality education accessible to all. From humble beginnings in basic school classrooms, Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School has blossomed into a respected institution. It continues to uphold its mission of providing secular education interwoven with Islamic values. Al-Azariya Islamic Senior High School stands as a testament to the vision of its founder. It is a place where knowledge and faith intertwine, shaping the future leaders of Ghana.
