Agadir–Al Massira Airport is located in Temsia. This is a short 20 km trip southeast of Agadir. The airport officially serves Agadir. It also provides service to the entire Souss-Massa region. It acts as a vital link, connecting this vibrant area to the world.

Agadir–Al Massira Airport boasts a runway that commands respect. The 09/27 direction measures 3,200 by 45 metres. Its size allows aircraft as large as a Boeing 747 to land safely. The airport has an ILS Class II certification. It offers VOR DME and 2 X NDB radionavigational aids.

There is ample parking for aircraft here. 170,000 square metres can accommodate ten Boeing 737s and three Boeing 747s.

The terminal itself spans 26,550 square metres. It was designed to handle 3 million passengers annually. A large waiting room is divided for national and international flights. Passengers can pass through passport control in Agadir. This saves transfer time in Casablanca for connecting flights. Agadir Airport offers a special VIP service. It is one of six airports in Morocco to offer the Salon Convives de Marque.

Many airlines operate here. Royal Air Maroc and Etihad Airways are among them. Luxair, Ryanair, and Transavia France also operate here.

In 2023, Al Massira International Airport was busy. It served 2,304,045 passengers. Looking back, statistics show steady growth. In 2018, the airport handled 1,922,344 passengers.

Agadir Airport was the site of a tragic event. On 21 August 1994, Royal Air Maroc Flight 630 crashed. It happened ten minutes after takeoff. All 44 people on board died. The crash was believed to be a deliberate act by the pilot.
