ADEPR Shell

ADEPR Shell belongs to the Association of Pentecostal Churches in Rwanda, a denomination deeply intertwined with the nation’s history. The church’s roots reach back to the 1940s, to the western Gihundwe Region. There, Swedish missionaries, Alvar Lindskog and his wife Lindberg, first sowed the seeds of Pentecostalism. Back then, Swahili echoed through the hills, bridging the language barrier through dedicated translators. In 1943, the first Rwandan convert, Ludoviko Sagatwa, marked the beginning of ADEPR’s journey in Rwanda. Today, ADEPR Shell, like its numerous sister churches across the country, stands as a testament to the church’s growth and enduring impact. ADEPR Shell isn’t confined within its walls. This community embraces the true spirit of their faith, extending their reach beyond sermons and hymns. They believe in action, in carrying the message of hope and salvation to those who haven’t walked through their doors. They’ve climbed down from the pulpit to the streets of Ziniya, carrying their vibrant faith into the heart of the city, embodying the ADEPR mission of holistic transformation.
