The early years weren’t easy. The business faced challenges. World War II significantly impacted operations. The shop largely stood idle during the Nazi era. Post-war recovery required rebuilding the premises and repairing war damage. This was a testament to Adalbert Zajadacz’s resilience. His determination laid the foundation for future growth.
In 1949 the company opened its first branch in Celle. This marked a significant step in expansion. It demonstrated a commitment to serving a wider customer base. The company continued to grow. In 1964 after the founder’s death his wife Zinaida and son Michael took over. They led the company through a period of significant expansion. Throughout the 1990s Adalbert Zajadacz GmbH expanded its network rapidly. By the turn of the millennium it supplied more than 6000 clients. These included installers electricians and industrial companies.
Zinaida Zajadacz passed away in 2000. Michael Zajadacz assumed sole management. He guided the company for several more years. However due to health reasons he stepped back from operational management in 2008. He remained a shareholder until his death in 2016. His dedication and leadership shaped the company’s success.
By 2011 Adalbert Zajadacz GmbH operated 19 locations. It implemented a new logistics concept called Logistics 2013. This involved constructing a new 6500 square meter warehouse in Neu Wulmstorf. A state-of-the-art automated transport system and extensive shelving systems were installed. The cable storage expanded to hold around 1400 different cable types. The company’s 20th branch opened in Berlin-Wittenau.
Today Adalbert Zajadacz GmbH & Co. KG is a major player in the German electrical wholesale market. It boasts over 700 employees and 28 branches across the country. Its annual turnover exceeds 450 million euros. The company’s commitment to quality service and innovation continues to drive its success. The company remains a family-owned enterprise.
