In 2012 a dream took root. Pastor Jairo and Naomi Figueroa envisioned a church different from others. A place of connection a place where people could truly know God. This was the genesis of Acts Christian Church.
Acts Christian Church isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant community. It’s a family. Located in Brooklyn at 467 36th Street it’s a welcoming space for everyone. It’s a place where the message of Christ is shared openly and freely.
The church’s history stretches back further than its current name suggests. For over fifty years it existed as Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Maranatha. Then in 2012 during a 21-day Daniel Fast Pastor Jairo received a powerful vision. He focused on the mission of the early Christian church detailed in the book of Acts. That vision became the foundation of Acts Christian Church.
This church isn’t just about Sunday services. It’s about making a difference. It’s about connecting with the un-churched community. Small groups meet regularly. The church partners with the Sunset Park Community Center to reach out to more people. They strive to help people know God find freedom discover purpose and ultimately make a difference in the world.
Children are an integral part of the Acts Christian Church community. The ACC Kidz program offers activities during the Sunday service. Children participate in worship sing songs play games and learn about their faith.
