Perched majestically, 17th Street Plaza stands as a testament to Denver’s architectural ambition. Completed in 1982, this skyscraper has been a fixture of the city’s skyline for decades. It rises 438 feet into the Colorado sky.

The 17th Street Plaza has 33 floors. It offers a total area of approximately 700,000 square feet. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, its sleek form reflects a commitment to modern aesthetics. Wendel Duchsherer Architects also contributed to its design.

Back in 2012, 17th Street Plaza held the distinction of being Denver’s 11th tallest building. Today, it remains a prominent landmark. Its presence dominates the surrounding cityscape.

Once owned by J.P. Morgan, the building was sold to HRPT Properties Trust in 2009. The estimated price was a cool $135 million. Occupancy rates were high then. About 93 percent of the building was leased. Prestigious tenants like Molson Coors and KPMG called it home. Marsh & McLennan and the Consulate General of Japan also occupied space here. The Macquarie Group added to the building’s diverse roster.

In 2019, Plant Holdings North America, Inc. acquired the 17th Street Plaza. Today, the 17th Street Plaza is again up for sale. The 32-story office tower may soon have a new owner.

Equity Commonwealth, the current owner, is liquidating its assets. The 17th Street Plaza sits on a full city block. Its tenants include JLL, CBRE, Salesforce, and Trammell Crow. It is approximately 84 percent leased.

The 17th Street Plaza is a Class AA office tower. It boasts LEED Gold and Energy Star certifications. Covered parking is available for tenants and visitors. Large, landscaped plazas surround the building.
