But this location wasn’t always guaranteed. A historical 1893 office building once stood here. Designed by McKim, Mead & White, it faced demolition. Preservationists fought to save this early skyscraper. Despite their efforts, Pace University moved forward. They saw 15 Beekman as vital to their future in Lower Manhattan.
Inside 15 Beekman, you will find a state-of-the-art library. It is a learning center that spans multiple floors. Natural light floods in through floor-to-ceiling windows. These windows offer stunning views of New York City. The library provides ample space for study. It also provides space for collaboration.
The building also includes a brand-new residence hall. It features suite-style housing to accommodate many students. Suites include combinations of single, double, triple, and quad occupancy rooms. Most students get assigned to double rooms. Each student gets a bed, dresser, and wardrobe. Suites also have a shared living room. Private bathrooms are included. Each suite also has a microwave and refrigerator.
