From its humble beginnings to its present-day stature, Hangaram High School has witnessed a fascinating evolution. Did you know that this institution, right here in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, traces its roots back to 1952? It all began with the establishment of Sunggwang Public High School. This marked the first chapter in the long and rich history of Hangaram High School. Over the years, it underwent transformations, including becoming a public educational foundation in 1959. A total of 309 students proudly received their diplomas, stepping out into the world as Hangaram alumni. The school continued to grow. In 2000, it relocated to its current location in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu. This move further solidified its place within the local community. Over the years, Hangaram High School has consistently fostered an environment of academic excellence. It has embraced various programs to enrich the educational experience. As of 2022, Hangaram High School proudly serves a student population of 599 students and employs a dedicated faculty of 63 teachers. Their collective efforts continue to shape the future leaders.
