Research activities include development and involvement with existing center research. Scholars participate in preclinical, translational, and clinical research. Mentors guide scholars based on research preferences. Scholars may start their own research projects. The Scholar’s time is split. Fifty percent focuses on patient care. Twenty-five percent is for research. Another twenty-five percent involves didactic lectures and courses.
Fluency in English is required for the ITI Scholarship. Basic Korean language skills are needed and higher skills are an advantage. Applicants need a TOEFL or IELTS certificate for English proficiency. A cumulative TOEFL score of 80 or an IELTS band score of 6.0 is recommended. Applicants should be board-certified dentists. Research experience with scientific publications is desired.
