In 2024 Yeouido Catholic Church will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The church started as a mission of Yeongdeungpo Parish. It officially became a parish on September 17 1974. The main patron saint is Our Lady of Fatima.
The church’s address is 257 Yeouidong-ro Yeongdeungpo-gu Seoul. You can call them at 02-782-1259. The current parish priest is Father Kyung-soo Joo. Father Yeo-wook Kim serves as the associate priest.
Mass times are as follows. On Sundays mass is at 6:30 AM 9:00 AM for kindergarten and elementary students. 10:00 AM for middle and high school students. 11:00 AM for adults and 6:00 PM for young adults. Weekday masses are at 6:00 AM on Mondays and 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM from Tuesday to Friday. Saturday masses are at 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
The first parish priest was Father Choi Yong-rok. He was succeeded by many dedicated priests. They include Father Kim Taek-am Father Cho Soon-chang and Father Lee Gye-hong. Yeouido Catholic Church continues to evolve. It remains a beacon of faith and community.
