Did Changchun Middle School always stand here, a beacon of knowledge in Noeosan-dong? No. The story of Changchun Middle School begins in 2008 with its establishment. This public middle school, nestled in Mapo-gu, Seoul, officially opened its doors in 2009 as a co-educational institution. Changchun Middle School quickly became an integral part of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education system. The school started with three grades for boys and two for girls. Today, Changchun Middle School educates hundreds of students. In 2023, the student body numbered 366 students, with 50 faculty members guiding their learning journey. This isn’t just a place for academic pursuits. It’s a place where young minds discover their passions, forge friendships, and prepare for their futures. Changchun Middle School has witnessed the graduation of numerous classes, each leaving their mark on the school’s history. For example, the first graduating class in 2012 had 115 students. More recently, the 12th graduating class in 2023 saw 110 students commence their next chapter. Changchun Middle School stands as more than just bricks and mortar.
