“Imagine dedicating five decades to faith.” Ilsan Jangro Church has marked over 50 years of service. It looks forward to another 50 years.

Ilsan Jangro Church was established in June 1958 in Ilsan. The church celebrated its 50th anniversary. The church appointed new leaders including elders and deacons in March. It started its 50th-anniversary projects. The slogan was “Looking back on 50 years, Let’s take off for 100 years.” Ilsan Jangro Church appointed 27 new workers. Five new elders and sixteen deacons were appointed. Six Ansu Jipsa were also appointed. Elder Park Byeong-doo was promoted to Honorary Elder.

At the inaugural ceremony, Reverend Lee In-soo emphasized the church’s history. He wanted to restore the history of the early church. He hoped it would become a church that aspires to 100 years. He urged the appointees to devote themselves to freedom and truth.

The ceremony included appointments and a pledge of dedication and loyalty. There were also presentations of credentials and medals. A congratulatory performance followed. During the deacon appointment ceremony, Ansu Committee members laid hands on the heads of the new deacons. They prayed for them. Former head pastors Rev. Lee Byeong-don and Elder Kim Choong-ryul offered congratulations. Rev. Jeong Dong-chan a former pastor of Ilsan Church Rev. Woo Chang-joon, Rev. Yang Sang-gyu, Rev. Lee Dae-il, Elder Ahn Jong-gi, Elder Lee Kyung-woo, and Elder Kim Soo-gon gave their blessings.

Deacon Baek Seung-hyun pledged allegiance to God. He promised to be faithful to his mission. Rev. Kyung Jang-joon spoke about the 50th anniversary. He mentioned outreach, cultural, and welfare projects. He wanted to serve the local community. Ilsan Jangro Church is planning various 50th-anniversary events. These include a commemorative concert and Home Coming Day. A 50th-anniversary history publication is also planned. A mission concert and local residents’ invitation concert are also planned.
