In July 1973, Changgok-ri was merged. Dandae-dong became Seongnam-si’s Dandae-dong. At this time, Eunhaengjeong was renamed \uc740\ud589\ub3d9. In September 1979, the administrative district of \uc740\ud589\ub3d9 was divided. It became \uc740\ud5891\ub3d9 and \uc740\ud5892\ub3d9. In July 1988, Jungwon branch office was established. The administrative district \uc740\ud5892\ub3d9 was divided. It became \uc740\ud5892\ub3d9 and \uc740\ud5893\ub3d9. \uc740\ud589\ub3d9 was integrated into the newly created Jungwon-gu in May 1989.

As of August 31, 2023, \uc740\ud589\ub3d9 has a total area of 2.68 square kilometers. It houses 15,427 households. The population is 32,372. \uc740\ud5891\ub3d9, an administrative district, is a densely populated residential area with older villas. Its area is 0.21 square kilometers. There are 4,471 households. The population is 9,853. Jungbu Elementary School is located here.
